Porto Sense Apartments

Top apartment and host!

We loved this apartment and spent longer than we had planned in Porto because it was so perfect for us. The master bedroom is very large, with a view. The marble family bathroom includes a bath. The landing/double sofabed worked okay for two children. The lower storey, level from the lift, is a knockout. Wraparound south facing balcony looking over the square and the river, family sized kitchen, big living room with daybed and beautiful double doors opening to the balcony overlooking the square were just perfect. The architect's renovation is to a very high standard. Kitchen includes a clothes washing machine and a dishwashing machine. No clothes dryer which probably isn't necessary most of the time but it was rainy while we were there so the apartment was the drying space. The view and the location were unbeatable - this is where you want to be, and dream your hours away watching the river in comfortable and charming living areas.

5-star location in the heart of Ribiera district. Walking distance to most tourist spots. The top floor apartment is ideal for families or groups. It has extensive river views. We were on the third floor apartment. Windows to the side have good views of the square and the river. The apartment was beautifully presented with washing machine and modern fully equipped kitchen. Owners give you total privacy. Apartment does not have air conditioning. If you open windows you get fresh river breeze but it can be noisy at night. Owners provide ear plugs if you need them. After a day or so you will adjust to the noise and it will be fine. Doors are quirky. Needs getting used to but once you worked them out they wont be a problem. Only real drawback was the bathroom. No power socket for your electric shaver or hairdryer. They provided a hairdryer but you will have to be creative if you want to style your hair as the only mirror was in the bathroom. Also wardrobe was small. So if you are staying a few nights and thinking of unpacking you may need to juggle where to place things. Both are minor inconveniences. Overall we highly recommend the apartment. If you have been staying in hotels and want a change, this would be the place. You can cook, catch up on your cooking etc, etc. We will definitely book with them again when we come back to Porto. Loved it!
